Profile Rotary Sorters - What Spins Around Can Astound!
Here is my “Spin” on Profile Industries' Profile Industries' powered rotary spiral sorters.
Nexeed had the opportunity this year to provide some Ontario Customers with another option to add capacity and shape sorting to their Soybean cleaning and processing lines.
Stationary “Spiral” sorters have been around for years, but “Profile Industries” has designed and built powered, spiral sorters that are super easy to adjust, using specific cores for different products, VFD controlled core RPM, and selective orifice feed rate plates.
Nexeed Inc, has a single core model in our Lab in Headingley MB where we can run and test samples for customers to show them what the Rotary Sorter can do with their product.
Different soybean varieties have infinitely different shapes, and even the same variety from two different fields will vary in shape. In the past using stationary spirals, operators would often get frustrated with awkward, time-consuming adjustments, leading to production runs not having the desired “sort” outcome and high cleanout/waste counts. Operators can now easily “dial in” the variable frequency drives as the incoming product changes to produce optimum results.
Nexeed is proud to be a “Preferred Dealer” for Profile Industries in Canada, with the Rotary Spirals fitting in well with our Cimbria, Shule, and BoMill cleaning and processing equipment offering. Often the simple addition of a single or larger bank of Rotary Sorters will add capacity to the line, taking pressure off other components such as gravity tables and optical sorters, while being very cost effective.
Recently I had the opportunity to “get right into my work” alongside Tommy Saatzer, sales manager for Profile Industries at a new installation in Ontario. We had fun adding some product updates to a new installation of four, 4 core rotary’s during the commissioning process. It’s nice to work with a supplier that genuinely cares about customer satisfaction and does what it takes to “get it done”!
Here are some pics of the finished product, with a Kudos going out to the millwrights who did a great job of fabricating the structure and installing the sorters with lots of access all around.
I have the liberty to share some test results, taken from Profile Industries Spring 2024 soybean test results.
